Delta-8

Delta-8 FAQ

What is Delta-8 THC?
Delta-8 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is a form of THC that is found in the hemp plant. Typically,
when people talk about THC, they are referring to Delta-9 THC. Both Delta-8 and Delta-9 bind
to the body’s endocannabinoid system, but in different ways. This bond tends to make Delta-8
much less potent than traditional Delta-9, with much milder effects.

Is Delta-8 the same as CBD?
No. Delta-8 THC binds to both the CB1 and CB2 receptors, which causes a psychoactive effect.
It can also cause you to fail a drug test. However, CBD binds to only the body’s CB1 receptors,
does not cause a psychoactive effect, and will not cause you to fail a drug test.

What are the benefits of taking Delta-8 THC?
More research needs to be done on the effects of Delta-8, but many users report several
positive health benefits, including increased focus, decreased anxiety, central and neuropathic
pain relief, a feeling of euphoria, a boosted appetite and decreased nausea (especially for
chemotherapy patients).

For many, Delta-8 products cause a smooth, mild psychoactive effect that may also be
accompanied by a weightless, “floaty” feeling. Many users also report that Delta-8 does not
cause the same negative side effects as Delta-9, including paranoia, anxiety, fogginess,
short-term memory loss, exhaustion and psychosis.

Are Delta-8 THC products legal?
According to the 2018 Farm Bill, a federal act passed by Congress, hemp is defined as “The
2018 farm bill, a federal act passed by Congress, legalized hemp in the United States. That act
defines hemp as: “All derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, isomers, acids, salts, and salts of
isomers, whether growing or not, with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more
than 0.3 percent.” This language makes delta-8 legal, because it does not contain any delta-9
THC. All Delta-8 Living products contain less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC.

How should I determine the dose of Delta-8?
Experienced cannabis users will often find that Delta-8 products are about half as potent as
Delta-9 products, so they will indulge in higher doses of Delta-8. However, if you are new to
psychoactive products, it is highly recommended that you start small and increase your dosage
as needed. Delta-8 affects everyone differently – if vaping, you could start to feel effects within
10 minutes. Some people feel the effects from edible Delta-8 products immediately, and others
do not feel effects for an hour.

How does Delta-8 work on topical products?
The Delta-8 molecule is too large to absorb effectively into skin and pores, making it even
harder to pass through skin and enter the bloodstream. However, Delta-8 Living uses a
proprietary Nanotechnology manufacturing process that reduces Delta-8 molecules into
nanoparticles, which can pass through skin and enter the bloodstream, giving the user all the
benefits of Delta-8.

Will Delta-8 products make you high?
Yes, Delta-8 has a psychoactive effect. It will cause you to fail a drug test.
