Cloning the EZ Way!

So here are a few pics I pulled off the internet. This is one way to clone using an aeroponic cloner. The name brand is EZ-Cloner. This is a great way to do cuttings especially if your new to this. This system has a top which is where the neoprene plugs go with your cut stems placed in between them. First though I dip the newly cut cuts into a rooting gel or solution such as clonex. Next you place the newly cut stems into the neoprene’s. Next the bottom end is the reservoir and also contains the pump and manifold which holds and pressurize’s the water then sprays the highly oxygenated water over the stems until they grow callus tissue which then turns into bright pearly roots! I typically mix a weak hydroponic solution, but many people just use tap water! The key here though is to keep the water around 68/69 degrees and not much warmer, because of devoloping pythium rot, or root rot. I like to keep the ph of the water between 5.7-5.9 and change it weekly until your stems are bursting with white healthy roots! Then your ready to transplant! I like to keep a low level of light in them also like a 2 bar t-5 fluorescent that are veg color such as 6500k temp or color temp. You leave the ez cloner plugged in at all times, and the lights on 24 hours a day! Any question’s feel free to ask I will be checking in from time to time.

yes this method is the way to go imo and has been the go-to method for nearly two decades that i know of. Back in the day i made a home made ez cloner and posted a tutorial with photos to some a once popular forum and it was a super popular thread and helped lots of people.... first prototype i used a hole saw and cut a bunch of holes in the lid of a rubbermaid that then used styrofoam cups with a hole in the bottom for the stem to hang out so water could hit it. Used PVC and some misters and a pump for the rest of the doohicky.... after catching shit from all of the earth loving people who said i was doing the planet harm by using styrofoam cups, i ended up purchasing a pool noodle and using the same hole saw to cut out pucks for the cuts to go in.....my third prototype i used those garden kneeling pads and cut a bunch of pucks out of them....

eventually i got rid of them and ended up buying a couple ez cloners :D....
